Sta-Bil Fuel Stabilizer Shelf Life
I have some unopened Sta-Bil Fuel Stabilizer that must be 5 years old. Would this have a shelf life?

There's a product that you can add to it so that it lasts longer.
Wait a minute,,,,,,,,,

I have a can of it. Yep a metal can. I got it out of my dad's garage. It is like having a can of oil, not something just everyone has. I have no idea if it is any good.

Michael,
Good one! As an aside, I added it to a gallon of gas six months ago and tried to run it in my new ECHO weedwacker, didn't run worth a crap. I guess the ECHO likes fresh gas being a two stroke. The stabil I put in the gas can for the Honda four stroke generator seems to run fine after six months.

Coleman fuel needs to be fresh esp. for use in the cold - commonly, mountaineers will buy fresh every season
