I'm an engineer, the best project that I've been on was a military program with a bunch of yahoo fighter pilots. We had a great time and accomplished some amazing things. Summer camp isn't so bad....

Mess duty in boot camp, I walked around for almost 12 hours one day looking for a light bulb repair kit.
My whole company had a pretty good laugh watching me walk around all day while they were scrubbing dishes.

Long weights, striped paint, skyhooks, left handed screwdrivers... You used to send the apprentice all across town looking for these things..

Now, they're lucky to get a tour of the dealership out of it...

Never got fooled by those either, but I did see many a seamen recruit stand mail bouy watch from 12am-4am... They would be standing right next to you wearing their sound powered headphones, rain poncho and general quarters helmet. Holding a long shafted gig hook to grab the mail he he.... Around the time that they told me to go to the main space and ask for a diamond back (Dog pile you on the expanded metal floor) I had caught onto their antics and just smiled....
