Rough morning...lost a pet
My wife got up early, as usual, to go running and the cats got up with her and proceeded to play fight like they do. Unfortunately KC had a heart problem and the playing was too much for him. While I was attached to him, it really breaks my heart that my wife had to see it and has lost one of her great loves in life. It was quick and I think painless which is all I can ask for. We had 4 great years with KC and he always gave us great joy.
Our house will be sadder for a while now.

Sorry to hear this... Our little four leged friends can really get into our hearts...
Had to put down my 17 year old buddy a few months ago... still hurts to think about it... Scupper:

The amount of heartbreak felt when losing a pet is proportional to how much joy they brought to your life and how deeply you loved them.
KC was obviously a great friend and companion to you both. My sincere condolences.

Sorry to hear of this Bio.
I love my 2 kiddles and treasure them every day. I'm glad it was relatively quick and painless. I hope when the time is right you will consider rescuing another one from a local shelter - and in effect saving a life as a tribute to KC.

So sorry for your loss, the little buggers really worm their way into your heart. We just went through this about a month ago, and it really hurts. We've adopted a new guy to fill the position in our lineup, and it helps somewhat.

Very sorry to hear. I've lost two myself (Charlie and Bonnie, Charlie was only five...). They live in in our memories so as long as you don't forget the joy they being you and the unconditional (well okay maybe there's the condition that you feed them) love they provide, they'll always be with you.
All the best - it's so hard that our companions' life spans are shorter than our own...
