leather
Anyone familiar with leather from India? My neighbor dropped off three bolts of black leather that her brother found in a attic when he went to blow in insulation. Apparently he finds weird stuff all the time.
Anyway she grabbed it for me. Its wrapped in a fairly old looking paper with receipts from a oldstyle register stuck on them. Its from Mansinghka Brothers P/36 india ecchange place. Calcutta-1 Its super soft and about the perfect weight for seats etc. Not really sure what to do with it but my car will be getting some new pieces made for sure since I am still in the put back stage after painting. I thought India worshipped cows so I am not even sure what kind of leather it might be.

There are many different religions in India. Only one worships cows. The other ones will happily eat a cow, and make leather.

Receipts on the three rolls total near 700.00 Not sure if thats dollars or not. The p/36 in the address might be pier 36. Google dhows lots of issues the brothers have had with the tax man.
