![]() Do any of these cars still exist? Has anyone ever seen one? All of 80 were built. Maybe never sent to the USA?? Just wondering. |

There was a green metallic coupe, a dark silver metallic coupe in the SF Valley for years. Don't know if they are still around
these are basically Cobras with longer wheel bases and a much heavier body. Built side by side with the snakes. 428 cobra jet motors were considerably cheaper than 427's and the large lumps had enough torque for these boulevard cruisers anyway If I remember correctly Frua was the designer. The theme is repeated in a lot of his designs

It looks like the product of a Jensen Healey, Maserati Ghibli, Monteverdi 375 love triangle.

This car was announced in 1965, way before the cars mentioned as its styling progenitors. It did have similarity with Maserati Mistral, also Frua styled. The AC428 was very expensive, costing about 25% more than an Aston Martin DB6, probably due to its limited numbers and the fact that they were bodied in Italy so two lots of shipping were involved. 28 convertible versions were included in the 81 cars produced

All good to know, thanks guys. Hemmings (this month) actually has one for sale in Cali.
Always liked Brit cars, especially V8 models and Jags. So.... Still just curious ![]() This is not the one for sale. (I don't think) |

Too bad only 60 were made. That might make them valuable. If they we're rare and of valuable, I'd take one of those and do a Chip Foose on it.
Carve down the fenders and put 997 lights in the front like he did with the Europa. Looks like the rear quarters could use some haunches to compliment the green house. 2 more inches in width on the rear wheels. Do something to that rocker. Maybe Lamborghini Miura. Nah, I'll just take the Miura. |
