With the recent news I get thinking again ...why did this show end? There were many story lines for them to take.......I would have like to seen one of the kids or both start-up a crew. Even a prequel would have worked like GF2, that could have been a movie at least. Dang....... the show could have lasted for years.

Cable shows are usually 12-15 episodes per season, network is 22. 100 episodes is the magic number for a DVD boxed set and longer syndication. Most hit shows will either squeeze another season to get to 100 or quit around that number. The days of Gunsmoke going 20 years are gone. I think ER was the last to make a big run (besides The Simpsons).

In my opinion the show ended because most of the stars wanted to go on and do other things. "Adrianna" went off to do the sitcom Joey. "Tony" wanted to be a movie star and was getting good roles. The rest of the cast seemed to want to stay and work though.

I liked the show a lot when it first came out because it was different. Sure it was kind of a knockoff of Analyze This but in darker tones.

The big problem for me was the storyline seemed to change dramatically each season. It was like the writers were looking for some new catch each season. Made it hard to follow some of the characters.

Overall it was a good series and well written.

I remember when the show was ending and the crew was asked why, they said that they wanted to end the show on top

I take this as meaning they didn't want to continue and let the show go down hill then leave with a bad name

I was one of those guys who only had HBO for this show and canceled it after the end

Great show but the worst final episode I've ever seen. Fade to black, wtf?
Very disappointing! I've seen every single episode - I could have wrote the finale much better myself....
