The two Toyota entries - still running second and third, continue to creep up on the leading #2 Audi, co-driven by McNish, BTW.
The #3 Audi, currently in fourth, has dropped back to 2 laps behind. Where will these two Toyotas be in another 8 hours? |
Meanwhile in the GTE - Pro category ---- both Aston Martin entries and both factory Porsche entries share the lead lap (in their division) with the #99 Aston Martin in the lead. Others in this category are Ferrari, Viper, and Corvette.

McDreamy just had an off.
He's on a great team, I hope they can make it up. |

Dawn has broken.
I got up to see the start this morning. Thinking of staying up all night to see the end. This has been a sad race, but a good one too. The weather has made it a real competition. Anyone else still watching? |

I'll be here all night.
I grew up watching the 935s from a 10' satellite dish, then 956s on ESPN. My whole year was based around this race and the Road Atlanta Camel GT race, not Christmas. I always wanted to work this race when I was in racing. So much that in '07 I passed on a crew chief position on one of our Indycars to start our ALMS LMP2 program. We were eligible to race at Le Mans in '08 due to our win at Sebring in '07, but Honda of Japan wouldn't pay for it. Honda America couldn't justify it to the bosses and Micheal had stolen all of our budget to run Marco's car. Damn shame, but that's life. Anyway..... It truly is amazing what it takes to attempt a 24 "sprint" race, cause that's what it is now. Makes everything else seems so easy. |

Stunning performance from those drivers. That speed for so long.

With just over 5 hours left in the race....the #99 Aston Martin just crashed and is now out!
No one hurt, thankfully. This will help the factory Porsches. :) |
