Who, the driver or the person sitting in the chair that ended up between the car and the rock?

That video reinforces that fact that people shouldn't be allowed out of their yards. There are 20 or so of the dumbest fooks on the planet.

Wow. I totalled my first 914 in 1980 but it didn't look anything like that.
IIRC I got $750 from Aase bros for the carcass.

Here's the 914 last year. We had our engagement photos taken at German Motorcraft. Sad to see it gone, it was a fast car. :(

I would think the asshat taking pics at the beginning, in the blue shirt made the driver twitch....bet that got his ass loose and he lost it trying to correct.....

Yeah he wasn't in the road but it woulda made me flinch....

EDIT....second thought, I woulda sucked him onto the road with my vortex.....rookie mistake.

Just glad you weren't hurt. That rock didn't move a inch AFA I can see.

BTW, where did the roof end up? Mine was bolted down but it might not have survived that hit.

Pikes Peak gives you a choice of a 400 foot drop off or a bigass rock.

Major cojones to tackle that course. Had to laugh at the driver's reaction. But then he probably just saw a very short movie of his entire life.

Glad you're okay, CHICKS!

More like a Le Mans prototype. Many parts directly off the 908. Wheels and tires from the 2014 LMP cars. The engine is from the Pescarolo C60 that ran in 2003, but in unrestricted form.

Badass machine.

CHICKS 07-02-2013 07:03 PM

Whoa sorry guys it wasn't my car. Didn't mean to confuse. The pics where just took at the shop the car was at. Sorry about the confusion.

Couple things to notice about that 914-

1. Looks like the factory windshield....

2. I don't know what the rear wing is, but it isn't much of a wing. No endplates? Is it 1960?

3. The Roll cage doesn't have rear roll hoop supports angling down to the back. How the hell does that pass requirements? It would not be legal in SCCA or NASA club racing events.

4. It's on street tires. Seriously? You prep a car for Pikes Peak, it's fully paved, and you can't afford a set of Hoosier slicks to throw on the thing?
