Loeb runs Pikes Peak: 8:13:878

Wow, that is fast.
Rhys Millen's record from last year was 9:46:164
He clocked in second this year with 9:02:192

Zeke 06-30-2013 01:02 PM

I predicted he would blow the record to smithereens, but that's about 47 seconds faster that I though he could do it. I hope there are plenty of videos in the coming days.

Apparently, Peugeot's attack on Pikes Peak is reminiscent of Audi at LeMans. Po-joe must be a very popular marque in Europe, eh?

^^ Loved this comment -"Even Chuck Norris has posters of Loeb in his bedroom."

Hah!

Hardly. A steel tube frame with a carbon silhouette of a s*%#box on top of it is far from being the ultimate.

There is so much more that could be had when it comes to getting up that course now that it is paved.

Where's video of the actual timed run?

onewhippedpuppy 07-01-2013 09:09 AM

I think Loeb is a bit of an ass, but the man can drive.

sammyg2 07-01-2013 10:24 AM

Paved al lthe way, bah.
Rod Millen could do it in 8 minutes flat on all pavement, IN REVERSE! :)

Joe Bob 07-01-2013 10:27 AM

Can he beat Chuck Norris? I think not...

Slider79SC 07-01-2013 10:29 AM

Did Rhys abandon his car from 2 years ago? that one seemed wicked....

I don't know if this is practice or what. There are a few videos on You Tube.
