You know, you just don't like it.

I am by no means a bleeding heart. I firmly believe in Capital punishment and your right to defend yourself......but that doesn't make it right for you to go looking for it. Zimmerman is not guilty of capital murder, but he is guilty of some form of manslaughter. He is not completely absolved of responsibility in the matter.

To make that poll more interesting add two categories.

Travesty of justice: acquitted
Travesty of justice: convicted

The travesty is that this actually went to trial and ruined a man's life solely to line the pockets of members of the media, the "parents" and their political advocates at the expense of the community.

the travesty is the dumb sum ***** was stalking the kid and then got out of his car and confronted him...........Martin was no innocent angel in life but at the time he was doing nothing wrong........and Zimmerman had no clue of his intentions or his record. Zimmeramn had no responsibility or authority at the time.... zero... none.........Sorry but you just can't go around stopping and questioning anybody or everybody you think may be suspicion, its just not some natural right of a citizen.

Voted acquit but he is most definitely guilty of manslaughter.

I'd say there is more than enough stupidity to be shared by both parties.

If there was any evidence of what you say...that would make things a lot different. There is nothing to indicate that Zimmerman made any attempt to stop Martin. There is nothing illegal or wrong about asking anyone a question. One can simply choose not to respond if they wish.

I thought that I had the right to protect others as well as myself.

A version of pursuit of happiness, happier not having people endangering me or my neighbors.

In most states you DO have the right to protect others.

What from the resident lib...WOW...exactly who was Zimmerman protecting? The Kid was walking in a neighborhood in which he was iving in..........

Evidence of what I say.?.........the kid knew Zimmerman was following him and at some point knuckle head got out of his car and confront the kid all FACT.....I'm not excusing Martin for beating the guy down, but Zimmerman had no authorthy to stop the kid for any reason at the time.....THE KID WAS JUST WALKING AROUND A NEIGHBORHOOD HE WAS LIVING IN AT THE TIME. .....I'm sorry you think this kid deserved to friggin die but Zimmerman at the time didn't have your in depth knowledge of this kids life. As for Zimmerman, he probably falls under the same delusion many do about now bad they are.............a skinny 17 yr old beat him down like a rag doll.........

One small act of protecting yourself and your neighbors starts with knowing who is in your neighborhood, what they are doing and why.

These precursors to "action" should not be constrained in my opinion.

WOW living in your hoods must be a joy.........You don't need to know DICK about what and why I doing anything outside of actually breaking the law or endangering you....and thats if I'm in anybody's neighborhood.

While Martin was "temporarily" living in the area, it WAS a gated community. Residents behind gates tend to be protective of their turf.

Unknown individuals tend to arouse queston of WTFRU from most anyone. HOA wankers and unknown people cruising thru a neighborhood tend to meet up. Cruisers with a chip on their shoulder would tend to clash.

I don't care if you are any color. It happens every day.

I get pissed when non residents jump the fence and use my private road as a short cut. Especially after some bastard lifted my fat tire bike when I was away from the house.
