porsche did do f-1 in 62 both 4's and flat 8's
and that looks like a 61-2 f-1 factory p-car the 4 version
but never did a f-V afaik

I guess by 64 it could be run in a hillclimb
or other non championship but F-1 race
or it is just a 64 vw pick up posed for the shot

Fv

This was in Bringatrailer a few weeks back. It was said to be one of two Porsche powered FV's
The suspension is definitely FV
Nice combo for sure!

Nice rig. Just what could you do with a Porsche powered FV. Couldn't race it in FV. Just wondering.

I've seen pics of transporters with race cars on the back from back in the day. Even have a tiny model that I got at the Porsche museum. But what I've never understood is how you get the race car on and off the back of the truck? Doesn't look like you could carry long enough ramps to do it?
Anyone know?
