Cool old Jag
Nice car, surprised its LHD. Wonder if its original? Curious tail lights.
Now THAT is stylish.
Way cool! Those things were capable of some bigtime horsepower and top speeds, too. I think the later versions of those engines are making something north of 375 hp in vintage-racing form these days. Quite a spectacular car.
Oh well hello there, gorgeous!!!
Jaguars are responsible for my downward spiral into motor-head insanity. I was an entirely "normal" person until I saw my first E-type.... The slippery slope began on that day. :D angela |
Most lovely indeed!
Did he drive it there? Or do some trailer their cars in nowadays?
Didn't see any trailers in evidence, but I wasn't looking for them either.
I think he drove it, but could be wrong. Glad to share it with all of you here. Makes getting up at that time of day worth while. |

those pictures had to be EARLY this morning. I was driving to work at 0530 and the sky looked like that...
I arrived there about 5:45 this morning but didn't break out the camera until about 6:30 or so.

Art.
Stunning! And I miss Irvine...used to live there in my 20's
Back in the days before govt intervention and CAFE standards cars were really much cooler...designers could make and sell much more interesting machines. Now cars all look pretty much the same...except for P cars, of course
I just had to swing back through for another look, SWEET!
What other gems did you come across? |
I am, in a way, lucky to live where I do. This town is big on classic American Iron and you can..and do...see several almost every day just driving around town. There is a huge car club here and a few others in neighboring towns... In Sept is the biggest show in the area at the Nevada Co. Fairgrounds...it's just drool city... I plan to go again and may enter my 49 Chev Half ton just for giggles but it's not show quality yet.
If anyone lives near or wants to visit Grass Valley Ca in Sept, you won't be disappointed with this show. There are a few others here during the year but this is the big one. |
An XK 120M FHC was my first love. It was owned by a doctor down the road. He bought the car new in the fall of 1954. I was 13 and was in lust with that car. Scott, that OTS is beyond stunning! Thanks for posting the pics! I may just have to print them.
Flyg... PM me your email and I'll send you the full sized file if you want a really nice print.
This one looked pretty nice to me. You don't see them everyday. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1374371518.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1374371532.jpg |
Beautiful!

Shift knob suggests it is a 5 speed. Is that stock?
