Saw it Sept 30, 2011. I don't believe it had flown back then.

I watched it fly a couple times this week at Oshkosh..... It is nothing more than a novelty IMO. Too slow for anyone wanting to travel by air and too delicate/slow to drive on the highway. I do not know of one fellow pilot who has even the slightest interest in the thing. I can't imagine that these things will sell very well.

Would someone give the woman narrator a drink or a pill? Whatever you do, don't hand her a bong.

If the average Joe wants one he's still going to have to get a Private Pilot's Certificate which will discourage many to spend the money for it and put in the effort.
Like Tim said, a novelty.

Cool toy.
There's no way I'd ever drive that thing on the roads however. Potholes, idiots on cell phones and all the rest would worry me sick that it'd get ruined in short order. I'm guessing the insurance on that thing will be astronomical (not the airplane part, the vehicle part) but then again, it's something that'll likely be bought/used only by very wealthy people so maybe it doesn't matter too much. I'm VERY interested to see what the depreciation curve will be - whether it'll track closer to a motor vehicle or an airplane... The two have extremely different depreciation curves.

Less than good plane, less than good car.Why bother? Anyone who can afford a new plane can for sure afford for a rental car to be waiting for them when they land away.
