Perhaps you'd enjoy Wolfe's novel. Its quite different to the movie.

Thanks.
Read it and reread it and the cycle continues.
People at their best for mostly all the people.

That's great!
Have you been back to that wall?
I figure because its been awhile you possibly have moved on.
Thanks.
Pride ruled then. Well deserved.

Actually my friend's house was sold and the new owners took the wall down. Nothing lasts forever.

You're right, nothing lasts forever.

But I have to agree something cool happened when you 'old' guys went to the moon. I mean that with absolute respect. I was only just born, but man, that achievement has yet to be beaten. Top respect. So proud when I see any footage..

. The first V-1 was launched at London on 13 June 1944, one week after (and prompted by) the successful Allied landing in Europe.

We were living in Hawaii. The landing was prime time for us. We finished eating dinner and then went to the dining room to watch it live.

The bicyclist on the left in the green shirt is me. The is the "moon bug module" that the three astronauts were kept in when they returned to earth. They came within a few blocks of our house at Hickam AFB in Hawaii.

Neil Armstrong returned my wave.
