BBC Top Gear 20th season

Anyone watching the 20th season? Last night the Stig drove the SLS Black and the SLS Electric back to back. The electric did pretty well, as it should with over 700 horsepower(s). Pretty awesome technology, 4 motors with computers deciding which wheel gets power under what circumstance.

Hovercraft was a bust, I've always wondered if everyone that's 'in the way' of these guys is part of the plan. Soaking diners, ramming boats, getting stuck in locks, the wanton destruction is astonishing......

Which is exactly why it is fun, it appeals to the 10 year old in all of us.

The next episode is supposed to be awesome! The Stig is going to race Clarkson around in baby carriages! Vintage vs. New. Can't wait!

One of the things I hate the most about "reality" tv is the stupid drama injected by the producers. I give my wife a hard time about it since she is into a few of those shows.

She gives me crap because she says a lot of the laughs or gags in Top Gear appear to be injected too but I don't know, it seems different to me. I know not all of it is real but its for a laugh. Fake screaming at some other person on a show leading to fake fight is less than worthless to me.

I have total faith that much of the stuff on Top Gear is scripted. But as you said it's not serious, it's for a laugh and in good fun. That separates it in my mind from the reality TV that pretends to be real.

Unfortunately some of the scripts are wearing a bit thin at times but overall it is still a good watch. I don't think the teeny mishap with the Ferrari was scripted last week though.

Love the show. I know that much if not all of it's scripted and whoever is writing the scripts is a funny funny person. I really enjoy the specials, the Viet Nam episode was a real knee slapper. Probably the only show I can watch near constant America bashing and not be upset by it.

The bashing the Top Gear guys (Clarkson, mostly) give we Americans is well-deserved. I thought for sure one of them would be murdered, or at least robbed/assaulted on their Florida to Louisiana trip. They tried to give away May's Cadillac in New Orleans to a nice, grateful couple and were damn-near killed when the local toughs drove up.

Best show on the air in my opinion. Much of our reality TV is unkind and brings out the worst in us while TG is basically all in fun.

I rarely watch anymore, unless there's a special car I want to see.

It's all pretty much the same now, and the gags, "tests" and "comparos" are pretty much the same too, but with different cars.

I find it pretty boring most of the time...

Finalgear.com downloads, you need a torrent client like micro torrent to download them.

I have absolutely no interest in this show at all. A bunch of dunks saying nothing interesting. A better wasteful time is the weather channel.
