This week's tool score

I have a thing for Hazet, preferrably the older type. Managed to buy this last week on the local auction site. After a cleanup, turned out pretty nice.

Very cool!

redstrosekNic 08-04-2013 04:45 AM

Awesome! The only Hazet tool I own is the 911 head stud tool.

Was a time when those were the only tools one needed to do 99% of repairs on a car.

Very nice!

Nice one. I have a few Hazet tools, (and some Stahlwil), they are fantastic. Nice case as well.

I really like the tool box/case.

Beautiful!

That's great! I bought my overwhelming 148-piece tool kit for only $64,99 and I'm very pleased with it.

That would go in my living room. If I were the master of my house :-(

Glad you got GOOD Hazet tools.....everyone I ever ran across sucked at a level lower than Hrabor Freight .....just sayin'.

GeorgeK 08-04-2013 09:11 AM

I love them. I have a growing collection.
The one thing they can't do to save their lives is screwdrivers. The burnished tips break all the time. I go to PB Swiss for that.

I bought a new tool item recently. I try hard to not buy new tools - rather make do with what I've got.

But I saw this little Hazet item and even tho it fulfills a need I don't think I'll have -- and not sure exactly when I'd use it anyway or even WTF I'd use it for... I got it.

Hazet Sliding Square - adapter 1/4 to 3/8

I could do probably 90% of the repairs a 356 would need with that set-up.

Some tools have female square drives, although I don't know how common that is today.
To reverse the drive direction, you use the other side of the tool.

I have a few old German ratchets and torque wrenches that use these.

Even hand files for those with a man card.

Love the long slender wrenches. Bought a set of MAC 10-19MM wrenches like that in '75 and I use them daily.

Beautiful! How come I have never heard of Hazet???
