Maybe I'm old and crotchety
Patti LaBelle on Leno tonight.
Her voice is not quite what it was 30 years ago but the woman is 70 so that's to be expected. But still, no lip syncing, no auto tune, put the performance out there live. Today's artists suck. Gimme a real performance, blemishes and all any day all day.

Actually I do need to backtrack on the "today's artists suck" comment.
I was mostly referring to anyone that your teenage daughter has heard of. Had to replace the battery on my DD 2 years ago. Went to reprogram the radio presets and stumbled across these guys, KXT 91.7. Listener supported, really eclectic mix of stuff. Tons of local artists that are really good but no one has heard of, upcoming/breaking bands and of course the standards. They even play Zappa. It is the only station preset on both my and the wifes DD's. Neither of us have changed the station in 2 years.
