Their tummies.

What does the paleo fruit shake consist of?

I make smoothies from non fat Greek yoghurt, fruit, milk, a couple tsp sugar if needed, and sometimes protein powder. Yummy. But not paleo. Paleo =/= dairy.

dairy is a hairy subject re paleo.......people have been making and consuming dairy based foods for a really really long time......

As for smoothies, coconut milk is solidly considered paleo and makes a great base.....all sorts of good for you stuff......

I eat roughly 80% paleo

I'll throw a cup or so of coconut milk and a variety of whatever fruits I feel like (I keep a solid stash and variety in frozen, cut up chunks. Throwing in some greens can add a good bit of nutrition and not really affect taste. Kale and spinach both work nicely. I'll also use almond milk from time to time, but I make it myself.....

The key to it all is a really good blender.......I absolutely love my blend tec

I don't see how dairy can be "paleo". Sure, humans have been milking animals for a long time, but once you have domesticated animals you are in the agricultural age, no longer the hunter-gatherer age which is how we evolved and what the "paleo" idea is based on. Might as well start eating grains, humans have had that for a very long time too.

If you're going to be "paleo" and have dairy, might as well acknowledge that you're simply devising a healthy diet and drop the whole paleo thing.

Coconut milk, okay that is hunter-gatherer food, but only if you lived in a particular region.

i don't know paleo

My acupuncturist gave me this recipe which I drink a lot:

yogurt
soy milk
frozen fruit (I use a lot of blueberries long with strawberries and mixed berries)
fiber (using super seed at the moment)
protein powder
black sesame seeds

add water to get the thickness right. I'll also add some fresh fruit as well but the frozen does double duty.
