What type of water lines are you going to use? I went with a PEX manifold system when I was doing work on our cabin. While it doesn't get as cold down here in Missouri as it does up there, it can get cold enough to freeze the pipes. I put the manifold down in the basement with a drain to the lake. I turn off the well pump, open the faucets and the manifold drain and the lines are empty in just a few minutes.

Probably Pex as it is cheap and easy and reliable to use. No copper for me to expensive and people want steal it.

Pay no attention.

Project looks great. Kinda nice to shift gears and do something else, huh?

Made that sound bad...."up north" means vacation home /destination in the great lakes states. going up north in most states doesn't have that connotation.

Nice! I made my first trip to WI earlier this month for Airventure, I was blown away at how pretty the state was. Also probably the friendliest people that I've ever encountered. I spent a morning fishing Green Lake and it was fantastic.

Thank you for the comment
Fact in winter there are more miles of snow trails in wisconsin than there is interstate

Pex is great, even if it freezes you have a fighting chance of it not bursting. I've seen it blow up like a balloon then go back to normal when thawed.

Something about being with your family on the water in Grampa's boat. Here is me and my girls in my Grampa's 55 14 footer with a 62 Evinrude 9.9 that fires on the first pull. My Mom and Dad restored this boat in 1973 for my Grampa. We still use it to this day! http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1376928626.jpg

Very cool I cant look at it well the picture is too small. I think the aluminum boat I have is probably the same vintage. I need to find some oars so the kids can run it around
