A bit different, but I just got one of these for the farm:

My in-laws have a RZR on their 40 acres, it is AWESOME. It takes some balls to keep your foot in it for long.

Neat to look at, but Polaris tends to be heavy and under-engineered in my experience. Looked at a few videos of these in action and they land like a ton of bricks and snap tie rods like they are made of uncooked pasta.
I had a Honda Odyssey with the crazy long travel setup a few years ago and it was the same story, just too heavy and awkward to enjoy they way you would like to. And for that kind of money...no chance

I guess after racing MX for years my threshold for "extreme" is a bit different than some. Don't get me wrong, these things look like fun but the weight, fragility and cost seem odd to me. If I had stupid income I would have one but I wouldn't consider it much more than entertaining transportation. And the one in your video is not even remotely close to a stock vehicle. I bet that thing is 40-50k as it sits.

For the money, a Kubota would do a lot more real work around your farm/ranch/property, hence why I own one. go team orange. Maybe if you're just out riding fences with miles to tend to, please do post pics of that 6x6 in action. rocks/mud/work. post some pics. I've owned Polaris Sportsmans before, and they're awesome machines, can't imagine the fun I'd have with 6x6.

My buddy sells these. He's ridden it and says its unreal. Takes 18inch whoops at 40mph like your driving on an airport runway.
Can't speak to their ORVs too much, but their snowmobiles are pretty amazing. I was out in Maine with my friend for a 3 day trip in February and the machines were incredible. I rode a 2 year old machine and new one and the difference was literally night and day. |

I have three tractors and numerous trailers and other equipment on the farm.
I bought the Ranger for specific, tailored reasons as well as some fun. Quote:

I used to drive an old Toyota truck around a farm that was just about perfect. Only gripe was it was too big for some areas. It was beat to hell and mostly rust but the thing never broke. I bet it had 300k miles. It hauled hay and a trailer all the time. Quote:

If you're just driving around the property get a used golf cart and put a lift kit on it, easy for $2500.
20K for that is very silly in my eyes. Paid a lot less for my 911. |

![]() We just picked this up today.... A bit larger than the RZR and 200 fewer ccs, and I can tell its enough to get you in trouble on our property. The EPS is a huge upgrade over our mule. No more cranking on the steering wheel, can steer it with one hand easily now. These new UTVs are awesome machines. I can't wait to get ours out on some trails. |

True... But this one isn't just for play. We've had a mule around the place to work, and it was due to be replaced. the ranger is more play oriented, but still capable of lots of hard work.
