Brooksville couple killed in dirt bike/ATV crash

A Brooksville husband and wife were killed Thursday night when they crashed nearly head-on into each other.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Tracy R. Arnold, 40, was driving a Yamaha YZ85 dirt bike on Hayman Road, east of Deep Well Drive around 9:30 p.m. Meanwhile, her husband, 36-year-old Michael D. Arnold II, was riding a Yamaha Banshee ATV in the opposite direction.

The FHP said the couple collided nearly head-on, ejecting both drives from their respective vehicles.

Both died at the scene, the FHP said.

Not limited to Floriduh. I took care of two kids (buddies of each other) in Western Mass. with a similar story. Both riding dirtbikes, one going from the lake to the cabin, and the other from the cabin to the lake. They were looking for each other and crashed head-on. No helmets. They lived, but had virtually identical facial fractures. It was like plate techtonics and how the western coast of Africa fits perfectly into the eastern curve of South America. Fortunately both kids turned out (physically) OK.
