Never thought of that...good one. :D

Apparently this Hollywood person has offended the church lady's sense of moral decorum by doing some extra-ciricular shtupping...the horror!!

Well, there you have it.

I had a similar discussion in the 70s when I told my grandparents Sonny and Cher were crap. They had to be good, they were on tv. QED

I'm not a chruch-goer or a holy roller.

I just think it's a massive character flaw for a man to f-around on his wife.

But if you think it's fine, that's your business and you're certainly entitled to your opinion.

I liked it. He may have promoted his movie but the message was still positive. It beats the hell out of the crap most self absorbed teen idols are smart enough to say. I read that he studied biochemical engineering in college, not too shabby! JMO

I couldn't take the constant screaming of his adoring fans. Drove me nuts. He's a really nice guy, I like the movie "A Lot Like Love" with him and Amanda Peete. A good flick to share with the lady in your life and some popcorn.

Good, short speech by Kutcher with some great advice. Don't think anyone in the audience really heard it over the screaming teeny boppers however. Skip the first minute:

Ashton Kutcher's Real Name and His Amazing Speech at the Teen Choice Awards - YouTube

I was actually in the audiance with my wife and 15 year old daughter. We were on vacation in LA and were able to get tickets at the box office 2 hours before showtime for face value. Let's just say there weren't too many 43 year old males in attendance.

Anyway, you're right that I don't think too many teenage girls in attendance really could hear or understood the message at the time. It probably was more meaningful to tv viewers that could hear it. However, the speech struck me enough to question my daughter about the message when we were leaving. I actually had to give props to Ashton on this one. The main point to me to drive home was create your own world and take advantage of your opportunties. You dont have to live in someone else's dream world. Not a bad message.

Maybe if more of us did that we wouldn't be sitting around on internet forums (its a joke, not really, relax):)

I persoanally dont give a rip about actors and you may think he is the biggest douche out there ( he may be, I don't know). But it was nice to hear someone with a positive message in front of a teenage audiance for a change.

He may have used his new movie title in the speech many times and it may have been self promotion. If it was, it was very well executed. I didnt catch it at the time. And I did think it was a little strange he referenced the word sexy, however, he did say "smart is sexy", nothing about physically appearance.

Overall, I was impressed and appreciated the message.

True.... and anyone who has ever humped squares of shingles up a ladder definitely knows what manual labor is all about. The "don't quit a job unless you have another one lined up " and "I've never had a job that that I was to good for" are positive messages and show a lot of common sense.

Great guy? probably maybe?...but as a actor...not good, just not believable in any role he has played on screen or tv, a very amateur style. Just don't get his appeal.

Thats the line that impressed me the most.

Thats one of the biggest problem nowadays. Most people, especially the younger generation, feel that most jobs are beneath them.

The crowd seemed to be dumbfounded when he got serious, he may have sounded like their parents.
