Music to detail by....

So, some time spent detailing lately (the Caddy is off to join the circus - you try to raise them right - but, what can you do....) and I was wondering if you guys have favorite detailing music - I mean, it is a lot of time spent in the garage...

I end up in some weird AC/DC - Beastie Boys - Marilyn Manson - Haggis and Bong loop...

FP: What does "off to join the circus" mean? New home? Hope that is a good thing.

As far as music...I listen to music as much as possible when I work - both on the job and at home. My tastes are more toward classic rock which can mean Led Zep., ELP, or the Doobs to the 80's stuff like Pet Shop Boys, Frankie Goes to Hollywood, and of course Pink Floyd.

For me the key is to mix it up.....a lot of variety. I have a TON of MP3 files on several different players that I plug into my portable speakers.

OK that's the long answer....the short answer is to play whatever YOU like.

If you can, start a Pandora list with a song you really like, maybe something by R.E.M. and let it find you songs that are similar....

(And I'm like Baz, I have my ipod set up to shuffle, and this afternoon I listened to Sinead O'Conner and Gov't Mule and Buddy Guy and a few dozen more artists... (and some R.E.M) ..... projects go a lot better with good music.)

What happened to the Allanté?

Lemme guess- Caddy oil leaks? That's why everyone tosses them.

PS all AC/DC sounds the same. Their "greatest hits" album will be a single.

Come on Randy - I'll give you Back in Black and raise you a Hells Bells.... smile (I agree AC/DC does repeat themselves - but it is easy to wax to).

The Caddy doesn't leak - I know - fairly rare for a N* - not even the dreaded rear seal leak.

The Caddy was asked to be at a car show which is part of a vintage Italian circus that is in town for a couple of weeks - they are getting 20 examples of classic Italian iron to have on the circus grounds for people to look at while waiting for the circus to start. I actually think Amante was invited because he is an Italian Caddy - and a local Caddy dealer is one of the circus' sponsors. Heck I get free tickets and drinks (they serve wine at Italian circuses ).

I am not selling him - he is a great car - herr_oberst

You can do anything to the music of Gruntruck.

wax, ****, ****, fix your car, eat dinner, get drunk, whatever you wish.

PS - this band is the one that SHOULD'VE made it out of Seattle- the greatest band from the region, period. They annihilate that soft pop rock stuff "grunge" like Pearl Jam (sux) and Nirvana (really sux) which unfortunately is what mainstream wants. This **** will put hair on your chest. It's rough..

PS Alice in Chains fans- this is where Layne got his singing style from- Ben McMillian, when he was with Skin Yard.
