It;s bad enough I drive a Boxster, I am not going to Starbucks as well, that I really don't like their coffee. Too much Sumatra in it.

Now that's funny.

Rick--I don't get it--I love Sumatran coffee but hate Starbucks. I haven't set foot in one in years. I didn't know their house blend was built that way.

To me it is very ashen. My wife loves it. I will drop her off to get her coffee and I will usually walk over to the gas station to get mine.
I also don't put anything in my coffee so if it is bitter I don't like it

The first time I had Starbucks crap was at a PCA Parade in Portland. At the concours I walked up got som free coffee and almost did a spit take. I threw the full cup in the trash can right next to the folks handing it out and I noticed the trash can was half full if coffee. Yuck. I went to A local gas station to get some decent coffee to wash the taste of Starbucks from my mouth.

Yeah, their coffee sucks. Bring a gun to Starbucks, put the coffee machine out of its misery.

I always carry in Starbucks, but concealed. I doubt anyone would notice open carry, since everyone at Starbucks is totally wrapped up in their NYT or iPad. The lack of situational awareness in Starbucks makes it quite the target for any kind of shenanigans.

Fortunately, I haven't had the need.

In Chicago's Loop area, you will see one on pretty much every block. In Seattle, I left a Starbucks and saw another on the same block, and then one across the street.

I don't think they'll notice iffn I boycott them, as I've never been in a starbucks.

but that's another good reason not to change that.

Yea, my boycott of Wal Mart has not hurt them much either.

I would rather put $2 in the tip jar and walk out. I have plenty of charcoal to drop in some hot water to get the same taste for free.

Yak pee-infused coffee? No thanks, I pass...

Bitter, burned, and horrible taste. But if you work there even part time, you get benefits. And their business model is decent, even though they over-diversified and the economic downturn took them by surprise.
