2014 CTS, now thats what I'm talkin bout!

2014 Cadillac CTS: New York Auto Show Preview - AutoTrader.com

I have posted on and off about a quest to replace my BMW and how I liked the CTS, but didn't think the rear wheel drive, gas guzzling CTS-V was my logical choice. It looks like they are listening to me with the 2014 CTS coming out. I will be interested in hearing more when it becomes available. Unfortunately, I would have to buy new which I hate. Maybe lease. Kaisen? Anyone?

Gorgeous car IMO, but is it me or am I getting late model 5-Series hints...?

It took a couple of generations each one getting closer, but that CTS finally looks awesome!

Whats up with the Las Vegas lighting on these cars? Stylist must be taking cues from pimp car TV shows.

I'm not sure how I feel about that 'waterfall' of LEDs on the bumper/fender/headlight

Those x-mas light LEDs are already yesterday's news. That will look very dated in 3 years. I guess that's when the lease is up, so you don't care.

I am no big fan of high power luxury cars. Get a comfortable car that's good on gas around town and have a sports car for fun?

don't knock it 'til you try it...

The beauty of the CTS-V (IMHO) is that it's a very capable and comfortable "fun" car that just also happens to have a lot more everyday utility than the sports car (especially in wagon variant). This means you get to have "fun" even when you're headed to the big box store to buy your bulk packages of Bounty and Charmin Gas mileage does suck though...you have to pay to play.

That's where I'm at in my life also. My 911 is the most impractical car and actually a two seater since I have a roll bar. If I didn't have kids (or maybe a wife), trust me, I would be tooling around in the best sports car I could afford, all the time. Things didn't work out that way.

Meh - you guys may live somewhere where you can actually drive going to work or to the store. Here in the smell A area, you just go an average of 25mph, you don't need more than 40 hp to do so.

In the link that George posted the rear 3/4 could be a Mercedes. That's not a bad thing but it just looks like most of the other cars in that segment.

Don't get me wrong, the new ATS is on my short list of cars I am considering within the next years or so.

I really like the direction Cadillac is going but the sharp angles and snub-nosed snout are detractions from theoverall car.

Now I know what I saw testing last Friday on US23 near Fenton, MI. Several BMW 5-Series running with them.

handsome car, has a little of a Maybach silhouette/hood-through-roofline to it. Looks good shortened and edgier.

Glad you guys like it...but the Star Wars lights on the front end ruin it for me.

Claims to be 250 pounds lighter than the current CTS, despite being a bit larger. Nice job!

Nice looking car. Definitely some E-class in there, and I see some M-class Infiniti in the side profile.

Here are some actual photos from the NY car show. Personally, red isn't my color for this car, would like to see it in a darker shade. Promising.
