We used Rich's Classic Transport to move our 911 when we moved from Ca to the midwest. I felt slightly embarrassed with our "lowly" 911 compared to some of the stuff he hauls. Price was decent as well and he uses enclosed trailers.

I guess I got under somebody's craw because I called later in the day and they had the other two cars on a truck with an ETA of Saturday evening to the local station and Monday to the house. Of course, the movers are also going to be at the house on Monday dropping off all our stuff. Going to be a busy day...ugh! I'll let you know if they arrive ok. Hopefully none of the other two look like this... ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Intercity is charging $100 for non-drivable and $100 fuel surcharge. If I can get them to knock those down a little, I'd probably go with them.

Talk to your insurance company, mine would have replaced the entire car due to being brand new and diminished value, then go after the transport company for the arm and leg of the driver.

Read your contract with dependable. Their insurance company should pay- and be sure to insist they pay dimunition of value and use OEM parts. Ensure you use a first rate body shop.

DAS limits damage claims without an insurance rider to $250. That's what I was told. Your results may vary (hopefully). |

This a terrible story and I'm sorry to hear it, but how on earth did you not see any reports on this company online? Their rep is right there with Motor Meister, as someone else pointed out, and the reviews are scathing, including on this forum.

I've only ever shipped a car with a small, independent operator whom I trusted completely. I rarely ship cars and would just expect damage from any low-bid, broker/clearing house scumbag operation. I picture the drivers as old-time carnie types, shifting gears between hits of meth and dalliances with truck stop tranny hookers. Sorry, but you must have done close to zero research before hiring them. Do the world one large favor and post what you've written here on Yelp, maybe even cut and paste + a link to this thread if it's allowed.

Impreza arrived today with 14" scratch on the front fender. Claim #2 under way.... 911 arrived "ok". Can't say "no worse for wear" as the time left outside in the weather has not been kind to my 150k mile car. But it runs, and no damage, so...at least there's that. They're kidding, right....??? vvvvv ![]() Well at least I get to tell them off three times...shame it won't matter one bit.

Post reviews on yelp, google. If they have a facebook page, post pics of the damage, along with the story, and 'Tag' the photos to their facebook pages.
