Chipotle: What's your choice? (now with fat free poll)

I've been going for years. I used to get the burrito, but stopped when I found out how many calories are in the tortilla. For the first time last week I tried the Carnitas. It's really good! Usually, I go for the steak and sometimes the chicken.

So, what's your pleasure?

We have one across the street from work... I tried it a couple times but they give me way too much food (I know that is an oxymoron to some of you). The food is good but the servings are way too large (IMHO).

That and I live in SoCal where there is mom and pop Mexican joint on every block.

Last one I had was a TON of rice.

Chicken fajita burrito, white rice, sour cream, guacamole, cheese, mild and hot salsa. Calories are delicious!

Chipotle is pretty bland tasting. I prefer real Mexican food.

Most real Mexican food, i.e. eaten by Mexicans, is pretty bland too.

If I do hit Chipotle, I go for the Carnitas Bowl. Being in So Cal we have a multitude of good burrito places to choose from (make mine Al Pastor).

This sums up the last time I got a burrito from Chipotle..........

And if you are a diabetic like me that is no bueno...

There are always workarounds... like just order meat... fajitas, chili colorado, carnitas... just skip the rice, beans, and tortillas.

But you can't get that at Chipotle... I'm not bashing Chipotle... I do like the taste of their food. It just doesn't fit my diet.

Unhappy

Crispy tacos, barbacoa, corn, guacamole cheese.

I tried a burrito once, but it was too much food, lots of filler. I like beans and rice, but...

I like the chicken burrito.
Stop going when I found out about the high levels of sodium.

Carnitas bowl fan over here. The last 3 visits I've had to tell the food preparer "hey, don't skimp on the meat." You get a ton of rice & beans, half a serving of meat and 'sneeze' of guacamole.

I correct their portions/servings with a smile and my food is still delicious. Hey, if they make it right I even tip them. Oh wait, that isn't this thread?

Quail springs or pen square chad? I have been to the one right next to penny square. There was one near my office in Houston and I are there all the time. Awesome place!

Eat there at least once per week, usually at lunch with coworkers. Consistent and quick. I won't even make the claim that it's good Mexican food, just that is perfect for what it is. It's it's own category

Bowl, white rice, chicken, mild salsa, medium salsa, sour cream, cheese, and lettuce. Then a healthy dose of chipotle Tabasco sauce.
