I'm begining to like crazy women again
I'm begining to like crazy women again.....well just a bit.....
Yesterday I'm out back cutting some hardwood 4 X 4's up into 2' lengths to use as blocking when I'm working on a car and the new neibour (across the lane) gets home from work. He comes over to find out what I'm working on and we get talking. He tells me his wife has bought a new car (Dodge Dart). He says she was driving down the lane in her old car and heard a big clunk from the rear. He said he jacked it up and the strut is at a angle and he figures it's rusted in the shock tower and that's why the strut is broken. I ask where the car is now and he says it's parked on the front street with no plates on it. I tell him he needs to get it off the street or it will cost him $600+ in fines & tow/storage fees if the cops see it on the street. He immediately moves it off the street around back and thanks me for the information. I say lets jack it up and have a look at the problem. We do and the strut tower is clean....no rust. The strut is just broken at the top. We uncover the top of the strut tower inside and no sign of rust there either. I tell him it's a simple fix. He says it doesn't matter she is pissed off at the car and just wants it gone. I say what are you going to do with it? He says he would drive it over to a garage near where they used to live and give it to them but he's afraid it will break (wheel fall off) worse. So I say if your giving it away I'll take it. ![]() The wife comes home fills out the title transfer paper and now I'm the owner of a 2002 Mazda Protégé ES Automatic The new strut is going on tomorrow. ![]()

cool score.. thats similar to the way I got a toyota camry the other day..only thing wrong with it was the solenoid was stuck.. put in a new starter and everything was good to go. with parts, title transfer and insurance I have less than $300 in it. gave it to my daughter and got my vette back she's been driving the last few months. she loves it. free is always good.

Yes, they dump loads of salt/sand combos on the streets here over the winters. I don't start driving any of the P cars until there has been at least two good rains to wash the roads clear.

May want to invite the new neighbors over for thick filet's and vino. Seeing you driving around in their car might work on them a bit over time.

Then who's fault is it?
I say you ask him if you can park it in his driveway when you're not using it. |

She could have tricked him. They have been known to do that.

How hot is she?
In my experience, the level of craziness is directly proportional to th elevel of hotness.

She's some type of social worker and is about 5' 6" and weighs in at 170-180 lbs I guess. Her hair is shorter than mine. Hot? Not...... Joe Bob wouldn't date her.

Crazy women are great as long as you don't have to take them home.

I find getting them to leave is the biggest problem.
