E BAY No Reserve On A New Boat
We just bought a 06 Tahoe boat last month and a few days ago I see a new boat from a dealer on E bay with no reserve. New warranty on Boat, Motor and Trailer. I look up the MSRP on this boat and it is 38+K.
I am an airplane guy and my wife is the boat girl, and we support each others toys. I call some other dealers and they offer me a like boat for around 33-34K. I bid $20,100 knowing there is no way I could get a new boat for $4000 more than I have in a used boat. My wife and I watch the auction end and guess who won. I call the dealer and he says....You got one good deal, that his cost was over $29+K plus shipping and this is the last one of 7 matching boats and they sold for around $37K each. Yes I know what B.O.A.T. stands for (Bust Out Another Thousand) But I made my wife rally happy. We go to pick it up on Tuesday.

Lucky SOB! Usually those stories end with the dealer trying to weasel his way out of the no reserve auction. So what is your new one?
We currently have a 2004 Tahoe Q4 that we bought as our first boat to check the appeal. My family loves it, so I'm going to shop for a 2000-ish 22-25' Cobalt during the winter when prices are down. Guess I need to hit Ebay.........
