I'll just quote you and say go Wildcats! Born and raised in Manhattan KS, and did about 1/4 of my college there. I was 9 when Bill Snyder showed up at our lowly program, and got to watch first hand the incredible transformation of the football program, college, and community. Simply amazing the positive impact that his football program has had. I need to go for a game but my son has his own football games on Saturdays.

Well, that was a terrible start to the season. Congrats to NDSU, they definitely wanted that victory and played accordingly. I knew KSU was going to down from last year, but wow.......

"NDSU is no joke, way too good of a game."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ They have an excellent program and some gifted coaches. White farm boy smash-mouth football, eh? NDSU's Def. made the difference - K State couldn't get their running game going. Did they even have a 3rd down conversion? Not a fun game to watch, however, nice to see the 18 pt. underdog pull it out. Snyder will build on this K state team, I'm sure. Waters has talent.
NDSU coaches:
When I was up there in '67, Ron Erhardt was the coach - winningest coach in Bison history with a 61-7-1 record. Erhardt became the backfield coach for the New England Patriots of the National Football League in 1973 and was promoted to offensive coordinator in 1977. He served as the head coach for the Patriots from 1979 to 1981. Worked w/Parcell at Giants and he ran the Steelers smash-mouth offense for four years, helping the team reach Super Bowl XXX in 1996. So NDSU's program has been tops for decades. . Sorry...had to brag.
Can't argue with that. For the sake of my team I hope that was a reflection of how good they are vs how bad KSU is. Defense in particular is a huge concern, though it's also disappointing that the offensive line touted as being one of the best in the nation couldn't protect the QB or open up a hole for a pretty decent RB. Ugly......
Matt,
KSU couldn't be in better hands than coach Snyder!!! I'll be watching them this season. . NDSU had a splendid D last year and most returned...they gave KSU fits and will continue to do so this season.
I gotta say, after his display last week I'll be rooting for Bama to teach Johnny Football a lesson in humility. I want Bama to lose as bad as anyone, but that punk needs to be brought down a few notches.
