Remember the old VW bug ads?
A bug floating in a swimming pool.

My '67 had the back deck made more vertical where the lic. plate was afixed.
Mag. ad said it was so the police could read the lic. plate easeir as the VW was speeding away and evading being stopped

However, being it was in Europe, the dating may be off because the bumpers may not have changed in 73 as they did in U.S. models.

By the way, some of you may wish to check the prices being asked for early (pre-68) buses in decent condition, not just the Barrett-Jackson anomalies. Right up there with 911's.

And Byron, that looks to be a 66 or 67 deluxe, Titian Red/beige grey. Correct? I currently have the same bus (a 67) in my driveway as my daily driver. Love it to death.
Yes, a 67, but I installed a later camper int. in it since I slept in it at the races & surf trips..
