LeMans 2014 Hospitality/TravelCo Recommendation
I've been wanting to go to Le Mans for years, its going to be my 40th birthday present to myself next year.
I'd like to find a company that'll arrange for a tent in a secure area, parking, access to a hospitality area, and maybe some covered seats though I hope to walk around mostly. Toilettes would be nice, I saw one advertise their own showers. The companies I've found in a cursory online search seem catered to transport to/from the UK, or require you to bring your own tent. I want to drive over from Munster and back, but I don't want to buy or drag a tent along. Anyone used a hospitality service at LeMans along these lines they were happy with? John

I drove over to Le Mans for the Classic a few years ago from Central Germany, in a rented station wagon that I camped in while there and on the trip to and back. I stayed in the Maison Blanc area just about 75 yards from the track. What a blast it was. I booked the tickets through a British company. I'll check tomorrow to see if I can find the name of the Co. For you.
Being there for the entire week end starting early fri was quite the endurance experience , but totally worth it. Plan to take a folding chair so you can hang out at different spots around the track. I enjoyed most other areas more than my seat in the main grandstands. Just too noisy in the valley created by the concrete grandstands on both sides of the main straight to want to spend much time there. There was such a huge turn out of vintage classic cars that turned up for this event, lots to see where every you look. Cheers Richard |
