Go to your local lock smith. I feel they are not so sloppy compare to the hourly guys at Lowes. Yet, they are a lot better then Home depot.

Lock keying is pretty analog. You'll know right away whether it worked or not. If it did, it should keep in working. An upgrade from Lowes would probably be Ace Hardware. But still... it's just not that hard. If things get messed up, they're almost always fixable.
