iPad question

I use my iPad in the AM to read, reply and fwd some emails. When I fwd I always like to delete all former addresses, etc., but the only way I know of to do it is to backspace over them. I've tried to copy/delete but never seem to capture just that whole block.

There must be an easier, more sensible way..?

Sure, just get an Android tablet, or better yet, Windows 8!

I can't help as I loathe Apple products....Apple from day one had super secret keyboard strokes that did everything. Even though they had the mouse.....I had a boss that always lorded the keystroke method over his newbies.

I'm sure there is a "stroke sequence" for that......if no Apple geek answers I would suggest the Genius Store/Bar near you or RTFM.

Good Luck.....

Hold your finger on one of the words, hit select and then drag that selection over your text and hit backspace and its all gone... It does work, I just checked.

Oh and JB, windows has similar keystrokes, try Ctrl+c, v, p for just a few examples...

But Motion is right, apple SUX buy an apple or windoze product. You can never do what you want on apple...

Nope, you are the only one with a man crush here.

I was just pointing out an inaccuracy in your post, so as to keep misconceptions from being spread. I would have done that to anyone.

Send a message via AIM to stomachmonkey
It's the way email clients work.

With the desktop version you can select text before you hit forward/reply and it will only include the selected text in the new message.

As far as learning keyboard shortcuts yes it is a big deal. You can work so much faster and if you are doing a repetitive task you can just key in all the commands and they sit in line in the buffer and execute in order.

You ASSume facts not in evidence. Omissions due to a big fat "DUH" are not inaccuracies.

Why don't you think more than once before you futz with me. Your sophomoric pokes are getting tiresome.
