I was vegan for about 10 years. I think it was the healthiest diet I've ever had. However, bacon sandwiches mmmmmmmm

I enjoy animal based protein and is a necessity for my exercise program. I really believe vegan/vegetarian diets are not the best way to go. BTW... Blood pressure was 90/56 yesterday at my works Wellness day.

On the subject of steak. The best by far was steaks in Zimbabwe. I'm not trying to say my steak is more exotic than yours, but what it is; is the cattle eat tasty scrub, herb bushes etc. They certainly don't live in a barn being fed corn, in fact they don't even eat real grass as there is none. In NZ our steaks a pretty good as the cattle a free roaming on farms all year round eating grass. Me I'm a bacon guy. Something from a small butchery who smoke the bacon out the back.

Beef is the one thing I won't eat if it's not grass-fed and pastured.....the crap they have to pump them full of to keep em alive on a corn/grain diet is insane.

I'm good with corn finished as long as finishing isn't so long it makes the cows sick without antibiotics. Corn finishing certainly does add another level of flavor.
