Tell that to the Viet Nan vet that had bamboo shoved under his fingernails that he wasn't tortured he only had enhanced interrogation methods used on him.

Still doesn't piss me off as much as Halloween being changed to "Fall Festival"...

Eff that. It's stupid, but that's one of the reasons why my kids go to a Catholic school. A Catholic School gets that Halloween is a harmless kid's holiday but our ultra PC morons in public schools don't. They also celebrate Christmas, Thanksgiving, Easter, and every other normal holiday. If you don't like it you can GTFO because they don't take a dime of government money.

FWIW... If you have someone for long enough you don't need to touch them to get them to talk and everyone will talk eventually.

People don't understand torture IMO. My working definition is something like, if it doesn't cause lasting injury then it is not torture. I thought there was nothing wrong with what took place in Zero Dark 30 as it appeared to be key in getting OBL. Now if they break all your fingers.... torture.

I agree. The problem is who makes that decision? And were does it ultimately lead you?
Very very rarely if ever is torture justified and even on the most extreme case you could still argue not to do it.

Every war ends and then you have to live with your conscience afterwards.

halloween is an OLD pagan holiday, like all of our holidays, id be surprised anyone besides the Christians would want to change it. its all about witches, sex, and sinning after all ... like all good holidays ;)

And if justify that we have to as bad as the bad guys to do good... what are we fighting for?

And how good is the information you're getting? Are they just telling you anything to make you stop?
