I've heard it all...
We don't torture anymore, OMG what a harsh reality. Let's not offend anyone or scare the little ones. Oh no we don't torture, we, (ready for this????)... We use enhanced interrogation methods.
Tell that to the Viet Nan vet that had bamboo shoved under his fingernails that he wasn't tortured he only had enhanced interrogation methods used on him. Sorry for the rant but I'm sick of this bull shyte.

Nora something, CBS Morning News here in the states. Friggin' disgusting. I may be paraphrasing but the term 'enhanced interrogation' was used that I know.

No one but the very strong or the completely insensitive wants to 'see the sausage made'. We want the high comfort this country offers but every down pillow required plucking the goose. By hand or machine it ain't pleasant but you want the nicey nice thats what it takes...

FWIW... If you have someone for long enough you don't need to touch them to get them to talk and everyone will talk eventually.
Just a system of constant interrogation will get the job done. The problem is time. Is the information time sensitive?

People don't understand torture IMO. My working definition is something like, if it doesn't cause lasting injury then it is not torture. I thought there was nothing wrong with what took place in Zero Dark 30 as it appeared to be key in getting OBL. Now if they break all your fingers.... torture.
