Maybe I am too much of a city person, but "1035 5th St, Boulder, CO" is the last address I would have thought described this remote place.

Nothing remote about it, you could easily walk to downtown. Just happens to be surrounded by open space, and last house west up the Mtn side in that area.

That is incredible...I think we found the perfect house...oh and look, for a house worth about 8X my house, he pays about the same property taxes as I do. great.

Do they call it the Windex House? ;)

We saw this house along the beach in Alys Beach, FL a few years ago and hunted down the pics on the web. This place is large.

Always had a fondness for the classic A-frame cabin with loft.
Basic, simple, affordable.

well...I went and looked at a house last week while I was home. mostly out of morbid fascination. 799K, but the house has been for sale for over a year. sellers are "extra motivated" said the realtor.

house was absolutely ridiculous. almost 14K square feet. 8 beds. 8 full baths. 3 kitchens. ball room with a Teflon ice skating rink. just completely over the top. it's in one of the nicest areas of town, too.

only a three car garage. as goofy as it sounds, that is almost a deal killer for me. similar houses in that area sport at least a 5 car garage.
