The video is a bit long - this incident isn't as bad as what happened in NM, but very disturbing nonetheless.

I rest my case.

I especially enjoyed the part where the cop said, "Do not resist, resistance is futile."

He might not have been for the first few days afterwards, but he's sittin' pretty now.

As much as I'm not a fan of punitive lawsuits............this seems totally justified.

People need to lose jobs and go to jail over this.

I agree. But if several people are not fired and a new written policy issued & used it is a waste of time and money.

The cops and the doctors all need to be fired. Credentials need to be revoked.

What about the judge? At a minimum his conduct and the procedures he used to grant a warrant must be reviewed publicly.

GH85Carrera 01-16-2014 12:21 PM

I agree.

I think multiple cavity searches for all should be a requirement.

I know that often police services will ask their members to endure a shot of mace or tear gas in order to better understand the impact when those measures are deployed, I think we should seriously consider requiring all those with the authority to demand a cavity search undergo a rigorously thourough one themselves with the same reasoning. Perhaps that might make them think twice before subjecting a citizen to th repeated pain, discomfort and humiliation that this fellow underwent.

Indeed. We'll call it "sensitivity training".

gordner 01-16-2014 12:48 PM

"tier three sesitivity training" is when they tickle your tonsils without involving your mouth....

I was getting too angry to continue with the story. I just don't understand :(

I don't think the information on his previous criminal history and use of his buttocks as a drug hiding location had been known previously. That seems to make more sense of why the PO's were so persistent, although is still not an excuse for the wrong-doing.
