I think multiple cavity searches for all should be a requirement.
I know that often police services will ask their members to endure a shot of mace or tear gas in order to better understand the impact when those measures are deployed, I think we should seriously consider requiring all those with the authority to demand a cavity search undergo a rigorously thourough one themselves with the same reasoning. Perhaps that might make them think twice before subjecting a citizen to th repeated pain, discomfort and humiliation that this fellow underwent. |

I don't think the information on his previous criminal history and use of his buttocks as a drug hiding location had been known previously. That seems to make more sense of why the PO's were so persistent, although is still not an excuse for the wrong-doing.
