Anyway, the guy that bought the old washer paid $80 for it and this is what he turned it into…
I thought it was a cool way to repurpose an old washer.

Today, I picked up a new, still in the box MQ Multiquip Mikasa vibraplate. Getting tired of renting one for our big block project. Have many uses on the property and might start a side hustle by renting it out on weekends.

Listed on FB marketplace for $1800.00, offered $1400.00 and sold for $1500.00. This one sells for $2690.00 so I felt it was decent deal for a never used piece of equipment.

Took it out of the box and off of the wooden pallet for ease of transport. I will be ordering a water tank for it some time in the future. Ok, I couldn’t help myself and had WhiteCap order the OEM water tank… I have issues…

Cheers

The wife and I are way out in the woods of south Texas looking for this yard sale. She found these four Dallas Cowboy directors chairs. Paid $20 each for them. Come to find out one of the chairs belonged to the original director of the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders!! Suzanne Mitchel (RIP). Nice piece of Cowboys history.

Nice score Baz! Now you just need to find a detailing cart like they have at harbor freight. Well done on the MC jack too. That will pay off on many different levels. Use it for MC’s and UTV’s as well as removal and Installation of the ol 911’s engine n trans. Works in 912’s too

Mrs. Bugs found thin at a thrift store for $8.99 and since our friends and the original founder of Whalers Locker lost the shop and Bob’s home and life’s possessions in the Lahaina fire on Maui, we wanted to hang it at the humble little Labaude. Mrs. Bugs n I are also trying to help them by sending extra $$ their way she we can so they can keep the employees income going while trying to work on the online side of their remaining inventory. I can’t imagine going through that. Good friends lost everything in the Paradise fire and that type of disaster scares the hell out of us.

Anyway, sorry for the tangent and back on topic. A little TLC and it will be right as rain.

Also snagged 92’ of 6” concrete form board in misc lengths for $50.00 off of FB Marketplace.

Already putting some of it to use while formulating a step plan.

This Bachtold Bros. brush mower is only a score in the sense that I have been looking for one for almost 2 years. I was actually hoping to find and old Roof ankle chopper, but never found one that was restorable. This Bachtold Bros. is the top of the line, 8 hp with electric start. It's a late production model, it even has a DR brand sticker on it. (DR took over Bachtold Bros. after a lawsuit and recall bankrupted them).

I had to pay $400 for it, but the owner was a fanatic and it's in excellent shape. He had a ton of paperwork for it (excpet the original bill of sale ). He made a chain oiler (that red thing hanging from the handlebar), always filtered the gas before he filled the tank, and for some reason always took the spark plug wire off when he shut it down.

I had an earlier model I sold for $400 a couple of years ago. It didn't have the electric start and the tread on the tires was worn down more than yours - but plenty serviceable. I went through it adjusting evertything, lubricating, & replaced the belt. It was a total brute to operate. Thyat was the only thing I didn't like about it. Congrats on a good buy. It'll knock down almost anythiing in its path. Have you seen the prices on the new models of mowers?

Yes! Ouch!!
I could not justify buying anything more expensive than this. I may use it 6 hours a year. I've been renting one for $100 for 4 hours every fall. I could just barely knock out the mowing in 4 hours. Four hours straight behind one of these things will kill you. I got so tired I knew I was doing unsafe things. Owning one, I can now mow for an hour and take a break. I wish it had a power reverse. Dragging it backwards worries me.

Yes. You'll get plenty of exercise, even though it does the cutting. The forward speed of mine kept me on my toes.

Picked this up about an hour ago over in Mom's neighborhood.

Looks like some kind of crib. It's on casters though so I dunno.

The other item is like a big cushion. If nothing else I can lay on it while working on things.....
