Picked up a pair of kayaks for $100 apiece. I was walking through my in-laws' neighborhood. A house around the corner had two of these out front with a for sale sign. We've only used them a few times, as they're kept at the in-laws, but they're easy to use for beginners, and they've been a lot of fun. I looked them up online, and a retailer has them listed at $1100 each!

No reason to post a picture, but on a morning bike ride today I found, on the ground, 44 out of a box of 50 6" HeadLock screws (like TimberTites). Must've fallen off a work crummy, the box was broken apart, but someone had gathered them and placed them safely in the public parking strip. I can use them on a garden project I've got in the works. (using free slash-pile 4x4's and cedar posts! 8 footers!
I was going to have to buy lags but these are mucho better for my project.)

I've got into the habit of going to the dump shop. It's a nice drive around the bays and is enough to get the 911 warmed up. Plus sometimes I get to see Amy working there.

A couple of months ago I got the Marantz PM7200 amp for Kiwi dollars $30 - that's 20 bucks US$. It said the right channel isn't working. I use it on "source direct" which sounds better and doesn't need right channel which is only slightly quieter anyways. So 100% excellent to me.

Then my eyes were pleased to see a CD player that matches the amp for US$10. It said display not working. A lovely sound. I looked inside and I could see the display board had a chip with a scorch mark or something on it. So that explains why no display. BUT after using it for three weeks in the man cave the display had started working. So VERY happy.

Went to an estate sale near my house to check out some old Porsche slot cars. They ended up being extremely expensive and passed on them. While poking around in the garage I found a new in box 1960’s rc plane engine. The lady at the counter didnt know what it was and let it go for $10.

There were some other very cool antique rc items. A pair of Schluter RC helis from the 70s and a couple Reed Transmitters from the 60s.

Dang, K&B, right? My dad was an accomplished team racer, so he had all sorts of these engines around.

Very cool! I had to do some research on the reed transmitters. Super interesting how they got those planes to fly before proportional receivers/servos were a thing.

This one is a Micromeccanica super tigre. Says made in Italy on the box.

Not a garage sale per se...

I was walking around Lowes this afternoon, and took a shortcut down the appliance aisle to get the the meager hardwood selection.. I've always wanted one of these little Bissell carpet cleaners, for my car etc....

I stopped and checked out the prices..

They had this one on clearance for $26...

Score!!

I cleaned my couch when I got home...lets just say....

I traded for it so it was a good deal. Thing is like a landing strip, 93" long

Not a Craigslist score, but Pull-a-Part score for sure.
My son and I went to Pull-a-Part today to get a front bumper filler piece for his 2007 Santa Fe. We got that piece, and then I looked in the car and found that it had a complete set of Weather Tech floor mats, including the cargo mat!!! I paid 11 bucks for the set!!!

^Those mats are great! I want to dress the world in weathermats. They are so simply functionally perfect.

Edit- nice find on the tool box Byron!

I have a top box that matches the center of that. For reference Snapon gets $6000 for just the top box.

These Clark speakers were dumped next to a clothes donation bin along with a bunch of other garbage. I did them a favor and cleaned them up. They sound good.

We’re in the process of consolidating our systems manufacturing, moving to another facility. All of our Hub mock up test stands came down and it’s not worth the shipping so, free stuff.. Could have taken three to four times this amount.

Next up, building a body resto dolly frame and what ever else I can think of. Crazy to think how much I have here in brackets and SS 1/2” and 3/8” hardware..

^^^Great score! I have tons of that stuff. I built a rolling frame/stand for my car out of it. Endless uses.
