Typical bear looking for food.

Looks like he needs a little more to fill out that wrinkly skin!

Looking for food or maybe just a hug! Maybe both!

That thing is cool as hell - even better than my female mannequin!

Free today - just down the street. Thought I could use it to hold tools and parts while working on my stuff.

No idea what it's "intended use" is.

Office furniture? Put casters on that and you have a great portable work table. No more tools on the ground.

Maybe it would be better without casters so it wouldn't roll where I don't want it? Guess I could get locking casters but I'll just leave it as is for now.

Thanks, HO....

$200

Old, missing a wheel and crank, no tooling.

Never used, just sat for many years. 600 lbs.

Oof......

Just got this motorcycle engine on Friday. ~170 lbs. Me and the transport guy lifted it off the truck and into my storage unit and with the two of us it wasn't all that easy.

Assuming you are using a forklift for that, Milt?

Holy Crap! Unbelievable score. With that and a lathe, you can just about make anything else you need.
Well done, Milt.

AFA lifting goes because it is 40 years old the factory grease is NFG. So it came out of the truck piece by piece and will be assembled and dialed in the same way in place where it will live next to my 1944 South Bend lathe that I took apart to the last bolt and restored with new factory matching paint and the 5 different lubes the manual calls for.

No, I can't make anything because I'm not a machinist, I'm a carpenter. And I don't do work for anyone anymore. They're all going out of business anyway. Antiques are dead.

But for 200 bucks I had to take it.

I'd be the same way; then I'd be looking for the DRO that would solve the problem of the missing gearbox and handle, but then I couldn't use it anyway because I don't have 3 phase at my house. (or skills and tooling)

Not missing any gearbox, just a handwheel and the column crank, or "Z" crank.

The DRO kit is 2K. I'll get by w/o it. I could change out the lead screws to ball screws if I was that fussy. The DRO pretty much requires that change.

For $200 that’s a great score, even if you can’t use it! It looks impressive!
