Gents....the new carry spoon.

I needed a gun safe, so I went to a local shop today. In a moment of weakness, I bought myself a new carry gun. I've always found my J frame to be on the porky side. I'm lean, and although I don't dress like a metrosexual, I never really found a good solution for carrying it, especially during the summer.

Sig 938. Its a 9mm. I picked up the extended magazine along with it. Love it. Its flat. Slides easily out of a pocket. Seems really well made. Tight as drum at the moment. Heading for the range tomorrow to give it a go.

I put the utility knife in there for some perspective on size.

Nice! Is it really small enough to slip in your pocket without wearing cargo pants?
I carry my 938 in my pocket no problem. Jeans or dress slacks!

Nice choice! Same colors as mine!

You still don't have one Paul? Waiting for Matt to buy one and flip it?

Great piece. I was sorely tempted last time I was at the range, since I love my Sig 229 in .40 cal, but it's a pain to carry.

Interested in the recoil. I sold my Ruger LCR because it kicked like a mule--gave my wife a blister after only 5 rounds.

You are bad man

I think Santa is going to be nice to me this year...

What are your, and any else for that matter, "real world" range experiences in terms of the questions Terry has above?

I had the day off yesterday to babysit the little guy, so of course we went to Gander Mountain for quality man bonding time. The P238 and P938 are both now at the top of my list, at which point I'll be looking to unload a nearly new P250 Subcompact. They make the LCP, Bodyguard, and PPK feel like toys. I just need CFO approval to make my purchase.

If I may, Hardrive: Bless our CFO's. Called her this morning about the BMW R75 I wanted to buy before I committed: "Sounds great, Honey...take it from xxx account, be safe, I love you."

I would like a range report when you guys are willing...XMAS is just around the corner

Without my CFO I have no idea how much money I have. She saves me from myself.

Query: what is the purpose of the 'prop bullet'? Is it simply to elevate the gun on an angle?

Curious minds...

I wouldn't say my wife is enthusiastic about my toys, but she doesn't give me grief either. She wears a ring around the literally cost more than all of my motorcycles and guns combined. We respect each others vices.

When I got my first Ducati, she was pissed. Then she saw the reactions of her female friends, and I think it changed her mind. I swear, one of our neighbors, a very nice lady with two kids said, "Holy **** is that hot!". She's come around.

6 +1 in the chamber. The extra extended magazine holds 7. 8 rounds from a package that small it pretty sweet IMHO.
