Fun Show Score!
With the internet I have few reasons to got to the Fun Show. This morning my buddy and I went so I could pick up my new XDS-45 from a dealer I purchased from online.
After squirming through the crowd with my usual disappointment in over priced crap we B-lined it to the dealer for my spoon so we could leave. On the way out we decided to go down the last two rows for grins. Some of you know my recent Czech VZ-58 fascination. My buddy was a few steps ahead when I stopped at a table. He comes back and says "there's a VZ-armorer's chest over there for $300." I replied.. "Right, I can just buy a spare VZ from Aim for $500." But I had to check it out. After waiting for a couple of Eastern Europeans to finish looking at it, I squeezed in for a look. I need a $13 dollar part which wasn't in the chest, but I chatted up the seller and expressed my disappointment in not finding the part in the set. "$250 and it's yours," he said. I countered $225. He wouldn't take it. I looked through it some more and reiterate "$225.".... "I can't"... "How about "$240 and you won't have to pack it up and haul it home" ... He takes it! At home I discovered it's only missing a few pieces, but figure I have well over $500 in parts within the chest! I don't plan to sell any of the parts, but will leave them pickling in the cosmoline until I need something. Picture (if I can get Tapatalk to work!) ![]() Probably enough parts for at least two spoons sans receivers and barrels. |

You really should spend more time with one.
![]() I have plenty of spoons and I am most impressed with the recent VZ purchase. A lot of "bang" for my money... I'm going to sell an AR and get a couple more from Aim. Quote:

Yeah. I don't intend to assemble anything...cheaper to buy one already compliant.

Very cool. After reading your posts a while back, a VZ is on my short list.
