Ecoboost High Speed Shudder + Check engine light blinking. Help! - F150online Forums

I have 147000 on the odometer of my 2012 f250 crew cab 4x4 with the 6.2l gas engine. Not even sure if this engine is an option in a f150. The thing has been bullet proof. Replaced a burnt out taillamp so far, that is it. Still on the original brake pads, obviously lots of hwy miles, most of them grossly overloaded or pulling a trailer. This is my first Ford, probably not my last.

Casting my vote for a Ridgeline... Same mileage, but it's a Honda, so it will outlast ANY Ford/Chevy/Dodge POS. Flame away...

I chose an F150 over a Tundra, the domestics know how to build trucks. Which btw the Ridgeline is not, it's a minivan with a bed. It is smaller inside, doesn't tow, and doesn't haul. It's a truck for people that don't need a truck. Beyond all that, it's Pontiac Aztec ugly.

Ram 1500 V6 Diesel Gets 28 MPG..... Ram 1500 V6 Diesel Gets 28 MPG

I am not a Dodge guy but the V6 Dodge Diesel 240 HP and 425 ft/lbs of torque is a very intriguing combination. Will be watching to see how reliable this thing is. Also, when is Chevy bringing out the 4.5 l Diesel?

I bought an ecoboost 2 yrs ago with 5k now has 55k no real problems mpg is a touch unrealistic in city driving compared to what ford claims.

The Ridgeline is a thinking man's truck.

If anyone asks you are free to say 'I think it's a truck'.

I agree that the Dodge diesel is worth a serious look. I've been wondering for decades why they don't put small displacement turbodiesels in 1/2 ton trucks, it makes such a huge amount of sense.
