Flipping Vegas
Anyone seen this show? Seems like to keep up the intensity they use language that keeps getting bleeped.
The "stars" seem to have a few Porsches in their stable. Wife used her Cayenne to pull down a carport. Flipping Vegas - Episodes, Video & Schedule - A&E |
All drama shows are just that, pre fabbed.
A format to look sort of real. The only real show on that i can verify as real is the "Pickers" Do your self a favor and turn them off..... |
"Do your self a favor and turn them off....."
Agreed. Kind of like smoking; once you quit you wonder why you ever started. Jim |
I'm bummed. I thought this would be about restoring and selling Chevy compacts.

As for Pickers, I wish I knew they we around back when we cleaned out my grandparents farm. We tossed 3 roll off bins of stuff. Lots of old stuff that was probably worth saving. Doubt they woudl have come west for out stuff though. I did keep the 1930 Plymouth. |
1930 Plymouth !
Ouhh lala !! Need pix! I could list all the fake shows , but its more EZ to say they are ALL just that, fake.! Now I have not inspected the pawn show from Las Veges , I do believe there is a real store there...I do not what part of the content of the show is real, or not real I do know Lizard lick tow transport wars storage wars and all the drama crap is just fake fake fake. A long with Moon shiners (no brainer) Ax men, ECT Dont wast your time on them. |
I caught a couple episodes last night and was mildly entertained for a while but the overly dramatic crises and stupid imposed time crush kinda wears out. A few glass bottles in the water heater closet is a big deal ? come on...
If I were trying to hire contractors for the best prices, I don't think I'd drive my Porsche to the meeting. But it did open my eyes to popcorn ceilings and crown molding haha |

Most as stated are VERY fake, not real, just more drama. And thats ok if you need more drama in your life.........LOL I personally cant stand them, do not understand their popularity. Like "moonshiners" LOL Off to jail they would go in a freaking hart beat lizard lick, Off to jail for any of their B.S. yet people buy into the crap. |
Big one around here is "Holmes on Homes" and Mike Holmes has been doing it for 6 or 7 yrs now. An honest contractor who goes around fixing other peoples screwups. If he arrives at your house it's like winning the lottery. I believe it's entirly real.

I know the Landry family of the Swamp People gator hunters. I installed a pool for one of them this year. They told me a few of the things they do are set up by the crew to make it a little more interesting but most of it is what they do every gator season. they also own the business that sells bait, gas and buys and sells the gators. not exactly poor people struggling to make a living

Great Pic !

All these shows have a dead line and they always make it in just minutes. Funny thing is, people seem to believe them.

PICKERS is setup..In one episode the old boy told the Pickers that there was an old motorcycle frame up in the woods an shore enugh there she lay ON TOP OF THE LEAVES...now if dat Motorcycle had been there it woulda been UNDER da leaves...Hmmm makes ya wonder.
Pawn Stars is FAKE, FAKE FAKE....I know one of the old boys who brought in a Springfield Trapdoor to sell...he just happens to be a 40 year resident in this town AND is a WELL KNOWN collector and seller of Trapdoor rifles...now ya would think the Old Man and this Old Boy woulda bumped into each other in 40 years in this town. BTW he sold his Trapdoor for TOP $$$ of $1500 to the ijets... |
