Thanksgiving Day Plans.......

A former student of mine and I are planning to fly my C170 to her property and land in the pasture (3500 Ft) and pop off some 7.62X39 shells through our Romanian made AK 47"s. then fly to Gainsville and have lunch. My wife says be back before 5 for Thanksgiving dinner. Can anyone beat that.

Up at 4, prepared bird and pork loin. On the smoker by 5:15. Waiting on all the boys and their girlfriends, parents, brothers and sisters and their kids. About 4:30 will light the bonfire and then smores. In all about 50 folks. Lots of good food and family. So much to be thankful for!

Taking 3 kegs of homebrewed beer to my wife's family for dinner. Beth made pies and such, but I made the beer. I'll have to fix a PC or two before I eat, but that's OK...

Put the turkey in the smoker at 9:00. Starting on my Key Lime pie now. Then go play outside with the doggies for a while before the madness starts.

Hopefully no fires calls as usual. For those deep frying their bird, PLEASE BE CAREFUL!

One of my triplet sisters (yes, three of us) is flying in from Cincinnati this AM. Paid for a shuttle to pick her up at LAX. Paying for a shuttle to take her back to LAX on Sunday evening. Eating with a BIL and live-in girlfriend at a nice golf course restaurant around 3 PM.

Enjoy.

Quite day here.

The boy was sick last week, pediatrician thought early onset pneumonia so off for chest x-ray which seemed to confirm it.

Started treating him for that Friday, I started feeling like crap Sunday.

Pediatrician calls Monday night and says not pneumonia, it's whooping cough and we've all been exposed so we all need meds.

Family that were coming over for T-day all ran for the hills so the big bird is in the freezer till Christmas and we picked up a small bird for just us.

Wifey made homemade stuffing using toasted Challah, fresh shrooms, bratwurst and veggies.

Chicken soup and Matzah Balls were made yesterday so it can all sit and blend overnight in the fridge.

Going to run out for more OJ in a bit and start on some Mimosas or Belini's.
