Shaun, I picked up some from these folks at a food court last time I was in Huntington Beach. Pricy, but well worth it IMHO.
Gourmet Jerky: No nitrate - no MSG - low carb - 96% fat free - sugarless - high protein - all meat.

It would be worth shipping to get jerky from them.
Up in North Dakota, when I was a mere prat, we'd haul our dressed-out deer over to a neighbor farmer who would grind up the venison with his own butchered pig pork to make sausages and give us back half. Yum!

A common practice back then (late '50s early '60s).

I was in South Africa a few years ago and their jerky is awesome! I bought some jerky at the SA airport after I check in. Unfortunately it was taken away from in at US Customs. Can't bring any meat, fruit or vegetable back. I was really bummed.

Update is in order, I wasn't able to find what I wanted locally. MRM offered to get a Greg's order for me and is taking care of that, should have it just after New Year's. What a great board, thank you Mike!
