Maybe Someone Knows Something About Art

I bought this object de art some 45 years ago at a duty free shop in North Dakota for $9 or there about. It's been hanging in my upstairs bathroom for the last 25 years and this morning I took it down to dust. The makers tag on the back has made me curious about who the artist is that made it. Today it's -40 and I'm bored so I started to look for any information on the artist.

There is no information that I can find doing Google searches except for a couple more like frames on Ebay and in a thrift shop online auction.

I phoned the current occupant at the address listed in Anaheim, CA. They have been at that location for 6-7 years and have never heard of Ryan Creations or any art company working out of there.

I did a Zabasearch of the company name and nothing came up. Not sure if Zabasearch does business's though.

Anyways...... just wondering if anyone knows anything about this company? Or has any ideas about finding more about them........

just suspicions but

the tag may be the printer or seller/shop not the artist/photographer
and photo's not artist made are just copys with NO VALUE other then as a decorations
and the tag is far younger the the ''photo''

to me , it seems be an attempt to make the photo look older then it is
ie new in the 60/70's but ment to look far older when newly made

The one on Ebay is listed for $11 It's a foil print in the same style frame.

Not to worried about what it's worth. There was a bunch of them when I bought this one. All in the same style but different photos. Print made to look older than it was in a new frame. I bought this one because at 13 I like breasts (still do).

Just a mass produced pic from late 60's-70's. I've seen them with the gal undressing, in the tub, with a guy in the tub drinking from a jug, etc. They go well with macrame wall hangings, Tiffany hurricane lamps and old Joni Mitchell albums.

This is the kind of stuff that I would like to see on the Antiques Roadshow. If you go to a non reputable dealer/valuer they would likely give you next to nothing and turn around and sell it for whole lot more. However I am sure there are some honest folks out there.

If you take the pic apart perhaps you could find more info on the back of the pic....

The frame is worth as much as the print. Google "R. Hendrickson bathroom prints" and you'll find the value.

I googled a few items that used to be in my grandparents spare bedroom back in the 1950's in England. They are washbasins, water jugs etc(there was only one cold water tap total in the whole house). Ebay items of the same maker came up. The values were disappointing.......

These long cold winter days I get reflective.

Thanks for the information. It appears that it might be the same artist.

It was never about the value but it's nice to know that in 45 years it has doubled in value. Did better with it than the stocks I bought.

Learned that the style of print is called Sepia and if it's the same artist (I opened the back up to see if there was any information and there wasn't) he was in his 60's back in the 1970's and lived in California.

Also learned there is a bunch on Ebay that my mom would not have let me bring into the house.
