Coolest Birthday Party for a 6 year old...

So one of the guys at work threw a killer party for his kid. Invited all of the kid's friends (and the neighbor kids) for the party...but kept the featured entertainment a secret. We (the adults) knew what was in store...and I think we were more excited then the kids would be.

Anyway...my coworker hired an actual monster truck to come to the party!

They gave rides to the kids around the block, had autographs, etc.

When I was little...I was happy to go to Showbiz Pizza.

there's a fairly large hillbilly population that embraces this kind of stuff here in the desert. If it involves dirt bikes, four wheelers, or monster trucks...it's kosher. lol.

they trailered it up from down south riding on tractor wheels...then did the switch over to the regular monster truck wheels once they got it in the neighborhood. as hillbilly as it is, I actually thought it was pretty cool

Palmdale/Lancaster folk are not hillbillys. They are straight desert rat white trash rednecks.

I don't know much about Southern California, aside from a few business trips to the LA area.

I will say this - most of my friends and relatives are professionals. Nearly all of us are considered rednecks (or in my case a hillbilly) by those who only know about our hobbies and backgrounds.

The rednecks I know will pull your car out of the ditch and help you fix it, feed you or buy you a beer.

I don't know why "redneck" is considered an insult.

+1

And they return your tools!

I love the pic of the floor jack for just that little extra clearance.

I went to a monster truck show once. They have to take the big wheels off to put them on the truck. They have little wheels for transit. I wonder if that's a set up photo.

That's top of the heap. You're buddy really knows how to throw a B-day party for his son. I'm sure it raised that boy's stock value a few ticks. Thanks for sharing that.

I'm a redneck, and I approve this message.
